Our Program is Very Different We Pay / Reward Your Commitment to your Puppy and Our Dream
What is a Guardian Home?
A Guardian home is a permanent home for one of our breeding girls or boys. As ALL our dogs are family members it is necessary to have Guardian homes to allow us to for fill our Program’s Dream.
We believe that all dogs deserve to be part of their own family and never housed outdoors. Because we do not have a kennel based program we simply cannot house all the puppies/dogs that we would like to keep as part of our breeding program. We want our dogs to have the best and in turn our families will have a happy, healthy and well socialized puppy.
Our Guardian Rewards Program allows for local families to get the "pick of the litter" or a top notch adolescent / adult breeding dog while we retain the breeding rights for a specified period of time.
Each situation is slightly different so we prefer to work out specific details with each family on an individual basis. Once the Guardian Dog has completed his / her breeding career, he / she will be spayed or neutered at our expense, your Guardian adoption deposit is returned in full, and the dog will remain a forever pet of their Guardian Family.
Is there a cost for a Guardian Home? Yes ALTHOUGH

With only requiring 2 litters, being standard practice your commitment time frame is kept minimal.
Our Future Dads

Guardians will be responsible for
The usual cost of the daily care, annual wellbeing vet visits and maintenance of their pet. Pet Health Insurance is necessary. Any “breeding related” medical costs for the Guardian Dog are the expense of Dream Companions This includes flea/tick prevention, feeding our recommended diet including our Pregnancy Diet, attend professional training classes, etc. It is given that you would also provide the love, care and consideration that would be given any pet dog in your ownership.
Benefits to being a Guardian Family:
Your family will be receiving the best puppy that represents the breed chosen by the breeder at a very low initial refundable cost.
Spay/neutering paid for when breeding is completed.
Guardian families can schedule trips during breedings /whelpings without worry or cost of kenneling their pets.
If the Guardian family decides to obtain another puppy from us, they may get the second puppy at a reduced price if a pet or rejoin our Guardian Program under our terms at that given time.
The Guardian Family becomes part of sharing the steps of breeding, watching their dog's puppies grow and being placed in loving forever homes without all the work.
What families make the “ideal” Guardian home?
You must be willing to feed puppy/ dog our recommended diet and follow basic health care, veterinarian care, such as maintaining vaccine schedules as well as take the puppy to your local obedience training course.
No other intact dogs should ever be on the premises to prevent unwanted mating.
We require you live within reasonable travelling time of our home. If you have a female that will give birth in our home we will do a home visits every few months or a possible meeting place, during the first year to assess the Guardian Puppy, as well as build a relationship with her for the future. Occasionally, we will ask our Guardian Families to bring the puppy to us for a visit so that she can get comfortable with our home for when she will be here with us in the future having babies :-).
You must have a fenced in yard and we prefer you to own your own home.
It is necessary that you have physical fencing to provide a safe and secure environment for the Guardian dog/puppy, and have a schedule that will allow for your dog to not be left alone for extended periods of time. All dogs and pups placed in Guardian Families must be indoor dogs, and never be left outside for extended periods of time unattended. Guardian Families must have reliable transportation, and a willingness to bring the Guardian dog/pup to us when needed throughout the year.
When the female is in season, the Guardian family is required to contact us immediately so that arrangements can be made for breeding.
You must be willing to bring or meet us for the health testing appointments paid for by us.
Finally we ask that Guardian families keep us updated on the puppy which would include photos monthly so that we may keep our website updated
